Tavrida Electric successfully commissioned several reclosers in Odessa,
Texas. The Tavrida OSM-204 reclosers are used to protect compressors connected
to 13.2 kV line via transformers.
The main purpose of these compressors is to separate and compress raw produced
gas such as H2S which is a by-product of oil for further processing.
The reclosers have integrated voltage and current sensors (Rogowski) that are
linear over the entire applicable range.
The RC-05 control contains a special digital filter which takes transformer
in-rush currents into account and requires no settings or knowledge of the type
of transformer in operation.
