Sunshine Coast
Utility power at Sunshine coast is not sufficiently reliable due to its
remote location and thus a backup power generator is required. Electricity
supply can come from both utility or a backup generator.
The switchgear rating is 27kV/600A/12.5kA. A reactor has to be grounded
automatically when the source is switched from main generator to utility.
Tavrida's 27KV ISM single pole circuit breaker was used as a grounding switch
for the reactor. A three phase 27kV LD ISM was used for the incoming busbar.
This cost effective, compact and reliable solution was favored by the
contractor.
